Information about Reiki - Reiki Therapy do Dogs like it?
Information and benefits of Reiki as a complementary therapy treatment.

Reiki is a form of touch therapy in which the therapist uses a both the laying on of hands and distant healing techniques. The therapists treats those parts of the body he or she senses are emitting weak energy, by laying his or her hands close to the site of the problem, this enables energy to start to flow through the therapist’s hands to the patient.

People normally associate Reiki, the ancient Japanese form of energy therapy, as a form of healing only practiced on humans. However the growth in popularity of owning dogs as pets has seen many owners turning to Reiki Therapy as a treatmwent for their pets.
Reiki is a powerful natural therapy; it is a safe, gentle form of holistic healing that is eminently suitable for both humans and animals.

When treating your dog a Reiki therapist will channel energy through themselves, and into the dog. The energy flow can be administered either in a “hands-on” way or it can make use of a “distance healing” approach. The dog will usually determine the type of approach they prefer and the length of the treatment session. When your dog feels he/she has had enough they will generally walk away.
